Tikhomirov Evgeny PETROVICH

  Born February 07, 1935, in Moscow. Graduated from the First I.M. Sechenov Moscow Medical Institute in 1960 and began to work for the "Zvezda" scientific-industrial enterprise (last name of the enterprise) as a junior researcher. Since 1964 - Head of laboratory of accelerations, since 1967 - Deputy Head of scientific-research and test department for aviation and space medicine.
  Author of 67 scientific reports and articles.
  1978 - The USSR State Prize for the series of works on the medical substantiation and application of the countermeasures against negative effects of microgravity on human body, which provide the possibility of long-term space flights.
