Vyacheslav P. SALNITSKY

Education at Moscow Aviation Institute "S. Ordshonikidse" with specialization to space craft control systems;
Scientific interests: Development of means and methods for the estimation and support of the reliability of professional work of cosmonauts during long-term space flights, bidirectional adaptation of the system "man-machine";
Scientific and practical work in the fields of:
- development of estimation methods of the reliability of professional work of operators in the system "man-machine-environment";
- optimization of operational work;
- creation of unique means for the estimation of the psychophysiologial state of operators,
- development of methods keeping maintenance and for the refreshment of professional capability of the cosmonauts during long-term space flights (experiment "PILOT");
The results of investigations, run under his responsibility and direct participation, have been realized in a series of project-constructive organizations, have been include into normative-technical documents, have been published in 85 scientific papers and 7 book articles.
V.P. Salnitski participated in the institute's management and realization of international programs and projects ("MIR-NASA", "NEUROLAB-B") and experiments ("HUBES", "EKOPSY", "SFINCSS").
He is Cochairman of the multilateral working group "Behavior and Performance of Humans at International Space Station".
Often he made presentations at Russian and international forums.
He received four government awards, the medal for "Excellence Health Care", four medals of the Astronautical Federation of the USSR, he is full member of the International Astronautical Academy, corresponding member of the Russian Astronautical Academy "K.E. Ziolkovski".
